They’re filming symphonies wrong. The most terrific view is when you can view the entire orchestra from the front. I don’t care about seeing individual players or the conductor. To me, the magic is seeing all of them play together.

Unfortunately, almost no recordnings you YouTube are this way. They usually spend 90 per cent of the time closely zoomed in on individual musicians.

I will some day write a library that makes sensible use of dynamic linking just so I can call it libthas.so.

I have written a custom site generator for this blog, but this is why I don’t post about it much (even though it was pretty fun).

The stuff people post on LinkedIn is so stupid. It usually takes 1min scrolling LinkedIn until I want to comment on a post saying “you’re so stupid,” but it hasn’t happend yet. It would look very unprofessional and I don’t want to come across a douche. Also I’m just feeding the system if I contribute my personal outrage.

Working with github pages is so annoying.

This is the first time I’m posting in this microblog. I’m writing the words you’re reading in Vim and, once I save the file, they will be pushed to my website, which runs on top of github pages.

I set this up because I sometimes feel like posting things that are too short for a proper blog post, so I think this format makes sense. Let’s see how it goes…
